Evans River Cruises & Kayaks Our aim is to provide you with a fun, relaxed, adventurous and safe means of experiencing the beautiful waters here in the Northern Rivers. You can do this by hiring our equipment privately on a hourly basis or join our qualified and enthusiastic guides on a journey into a rich and diverse natural environment. Evans River Kayak Adventures (ERKA) was established in 2005 by Sergio Jacomy and is now owned and operated by Simon and Lorraine Freeden, who also own and operate Summerland Surf School. We have a strong environmental focus, consciously approaching the tours with minimal impact to the environment. The tours are suitable for all ages from beginners to the more experienced. Evans River Kayak Adventures founded by Sergio Jacomy in 2005 has been sold to Simon & Lorraine Freeden to allow Sergio to pursue his passion for Wildlife conservation. Sergio has developed this passion for Australia over many years and his knowledge and commitment to the environment is immense. He has used these skills to develop a relationship with many happy customers, exploring, experiencing and enjoying the Evans River and surrounding waterways. |

Sergio in five years has collected large amounts of litter from the river and surrounds as well as organising cleanup day. These clean up days involved school groups, local community members and volunteers from Australian Sea Bird Rescue at Ballina. The clean up days used Sergio’s equipment at no charge with Sergio doing a large chunk of the work.

The local National Parks have also benefitted from Sergio's environmental work including the monitoring of wildlife and educating the public on ways to minimise the environmental impact on the river and surrounding areas. The Evans River and the Evans Head community have all benefitted from Sergio and wish him all the best, particularly Simon & Lorraine. We know whatever he does he will give it 110% by using his honesty, commitment and passion for the environment. |
